Safehip AirX Hip Protectors
The unique design of the SAFEHIP models makes them more user-friendly, breathable and comfortable and offers a significant improvement over the previous generation designs.

If hip protectors are bulky or unattractive, and are visible through clothing, there is a very real chance that the patient will not wear them, leaving themselves unprotected and at risk.



It has been specifically developed to reduce the risk of hip fractures in the elderly . The risk of hip fractures  was reduced by nearly 3-fold by wearing a hip protector at the time of falling.

 AirX shield. SAFEHIP AirX hip protectors are 100% textile all the way through which makes them 100% breathable and much cooler to wear than hip protectors with shields made of synthetic foams or with a hard plastic shell.

The shields adapt to the body perfectly, so the hip protector is not noticeable under clothes

To find the user’s correct size, measure the hips at the widest point. If the hip measurement lies between two sizes, choose the smaller size if the user has slim thighs, and the larger size if thighs are wide or an incontinence pad will be worn.



Features

  • Patented horse-shoe shaped shield designed to disperse energy from a fall away from the hip joint

  • Excellent breathability (test winner in EMPA test no. 448819)

  • 58% Cotton, 36% Polyamide and 6% Elastane.

  • Prevents moisture build-up and feels comfortable against skin

  • Minimises skin irritation such as reddening and itching

  • Pants are very comfortable to wear - no irritating seams

  • May be used with incontinence pads as a fixation pant.

  • They have been designed to perform like regular underwear.

  • Can be washed in industrial washing machines at up to 95°C/200°F and tumble dried at highest temperatures.

  • High percentage of elastane ensures a perfect fit, which also makes the pants suitable for incontinent users
